Kharcha stores all expense data, including transaction amounts, dates, categories, and descriptions, exclusively on your device using SQLite. We do not collect, transmit, or access this data. Your expense data is entirely under your control and remains private to your device.
Kharcha requests permission to read incoming SMS messages to automatically detect bank transaction alerts and help you log expenses more conveniently. This processing happens entirely on your device. We do not store, transmit, access, or share any SMS data with our servers or any third party.
We do not collect analytics, crash reports, usage data, IP addresses, device identifiers, or any other diagnostic information. No data is sent to our servers.
Since Kharcha processes all data locally on your device and does not transmit any information to our servers, we do not use your data for any purpose beyond providing the core functionality of the app.
We do not share, sell, or disclose any information about you or your usage of Kharcha to any third parties.
All expense data is retained only on your device for as long as you have the app installed. When you uninstall Kharcha, all locally stored data is deleted.
Since your data is stored entirely on your device and never transmitted over the internet, it benefits from your device's own security measures. We encourage you to use device-level security features (password, biometric authentication) to protect your phone and the Kharcha app.
Kharcha is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If we become aware that a child under 16 has provided us with information, we will take steps to delete such information and terminate the child's account.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the updated policy in the app or on our website and updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of Kharcha after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
